The origin handle
Both the object and the modifier have one sub-object level, Pattern Origin. Enter it and a handle appears on the floor where the selected row's pattern starts.
| Move | Slides the pattern along its own two axes; these are the same numbers as General › Offset X / Y. Dragging straight out of the floor's plane does nothing: a pattern has only two directions it can slide. Drag it to put a whole tile at the door, or the seam of a chevron down the middle of the room. |
| Rotate | Turns the pattern about the floor's normal, which is General › Rotation. Angle snap works. |
The handle stands on the tiled object's face, in the plane the pattern is laid in, so on a wall it sits on the wall. Each row has its own: select a border in the Areas list and the handle moves to where the border's pattern starts.
